Season is a malayalam film released in the year 1989 starring Mohanlal in lead role and supported by Gavin Packard, Maniyanpilla Raju, Ashokan, Shari, Jagathy Sreekumar, Thilakan, Thodupuzha Vasanthi, Azeez and Oduvil Unikrishnan in pivotal roles. The movie was written and directed by Padmarajan and was produced by M.G.Gopinath under the banner of Thomsun Films.
Season movie is considered as the finest crime thriller malayalam movies of all time and was well ahead of its time, though the movie was not a huge success as expected. The movie shot extensively near the Kovalam beach of Trivandrum was released as a Vishu release and it mainly talked about the issue of drug peddling by the locals amidst tourism, that also involved foreigners.
